Our History
France, Anderson, Basile and Company, P.C. is located on Chestnut Street in Emmaus, PA. The firm has three partners, two certified professional staff members, and various other professional and support staff as the workload dictates. The firm was originally founded by Alan France and Mark Anderson in 1993 as France and Anderson, C.P.A.s. Chris Basile joined the firm and became the third shareholder in 1998, and the firm was renamed France, Anderson, and Basile, C.P.A.s. With the expansion of clients and additional staff, the firm is presently known as France, Anderson, Basile and Company, P.C. Alan France, and Mark Anderson are all members of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the Lehigh Valley Chapter of Certified Public Accountants.
The experienced professional staff at France, Anderson, Basile and Company, P.C. consists of Michael Green and Michelle Caverly. Mr. Green is a Certified Public Accountant and serves as the firms CPA Manager. He is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
The firm offers a full range of auditing, tax, accounting, and management advisory services to corporate, individual, governmental, and nonprofit clients. The audits have been as simple as “program” audits necessary to fulfill grantor agency requirements, to more complex “Yellow Book” or “Single” audits when federal financial assistance is involved. Tax services include all aspects of tax planning and preparation for corporate, individual, and nonprofit clients. Management advisory services range from simple bank account reconciliations to assisting our clients trying to obtain financing.
Though the firm has been in existence since 1993, the individual shareholders of the firm have served municipal clients since 1980. We, at France, Anderson, Basile and Co, P.C., are confident in the timely professional services and competitive fees that we offer to their clients.
License to Practice in Pennsylvania
The firm of France, Anderson, Basile and Company, P.C., as well as all the principals and professional staff, have been properly licensed to practice in Pennsylvania in accordance with rules and standards established by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Department of State, Bureau of Professional and Occupational Affairs.

Alan C. France
CPA/CFE, Shareholder
Alan C. France received a Bachelors of Science Degree in Commerce and Finance, majoring in Accounting, from Wilkes College, located in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. He received the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants Certificate of Educational Achievement, with a focus in Government Accounting and Auditing (CPA). He is also a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), which denotes proven expertise in fraud prevention and detection. Mr. France had eleven years of experience in Public Accounting with a regional firm located in Allentown, Pennsylvania before starting the firm of Alan C. France, CPA. He gained 5 years of additional experience working on his own before joining with Mark Anderson and beginning France and Anderson, CPA's in 1993. Mr. France is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the Lehigh Valley Chapter of Certified Public Accountants, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants Division for CPA Firms, Private Companies Practice Section, and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants Management Consulting Services Division.
W. Mark Anderson

W. Mark Anderson received a Bachelor of Business Administration, majoring in Accounting from the College of William and Mary, located in Williamsburg Virginia. He received the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants Certificate of Educational Achievement, with a focus in Government Accounting and Auditing (CPA). Mr. Anderson had one year of experience in Public Accounting with a local firm located in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania and an additional 12 years experience in Public Accounting with a local firm located in Allentown, Pennsylvania. He then joined with Alan France and began France and Anderson, CPA's in 1993. Mr. Anderson is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the Lehigh Valley Chapter of Certified Public Accountants, and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants Division for CPA Firms, Private Companies Practice Section. He has also served as a chairperson of the Lehigh Valley Association of Rehabilitation Centers, Inc. (LARC) in the past.
Christopher Basile
CPA, Shareholder
Christopher Basile received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting from Ursinus College, located in Collegeville, Pennsylvania. He received the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants Certificate of Educational Achievement, with a focus in Government/Not for Profit Accounting and Auditing (CPA). Mr. Basile had eight years of experience in Public Accounting with a large local firm located in Allentown, Pennsylvania before joining the firm and becoming a shareholder in 1998. He currently is also an Adjunct Professor of Accounting at Moravian College in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. He is a member of the finance committee of the American Red Cross of the Greater Lehigh Valley and treasurer of Eastern Pennsylvania Emergency Medical Services Council. He is also the former president of the Board of Directors of Turning Point of the Lehigh Valley, Inc. and the former chairman of the audit committee of the American Red Cross of the Greater Lehigh Valley.
Michael M. Green

Michael Green received a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Villanova University, located in Villanova, Pennsylvania. Mr. Green served as a Corporate Staff Auditor for two years with RCA Corporation located in Princeton, New Jersey and then moved to Allentown, Pennsylvania where he gained three years of experience in Public Accounting with a regional firm. He gained 12 years of additional experience in Corporate Accounting with Rodale Press, Inc. located in Emmaus, Pennsylvania before joining the staff of France, Anderson, Basile and Co. in 2000. Mr. Green is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Michelle Caverly
Professional Staff
Michelle Caverly received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Ursinus College, located in Collegeville, Pennsylvania. Michelle had three years of experience in Public Accounting with a large local firm located in Allentown, Pennsylvania where she received her license as a CPA. She gained an additional 9 years of Corporate Accounting experience working for Rodale Press, Inc. located in Emmaus, Pennsylvania and also a local construction company, located in Allentown, Pennsylvania before joining the staff of France, Anderson, Basile and Co. in 2005. Michelle was a QuickBooks Pro Advisor and has a wide variety of QuickBooks experience.
