Our History
Basile and Associates, located in the Brookside Office Park in Allentown, PA, has a rich history of providing high-quality accounting services to the community. The firm was originally founded in 1993 by Alan France and Mark Anderson under the name France and Anderson, C.P.A.s. In 1998, Chris Basile joined the firm as a third shareholder, and the business was subsequently renamed France, Anderson, and Basile, C.P.A.s.

As the firm grew, expanding its client base and staff, the name was further updated to France, Anderson, Basile and Company, P.C. Following the retirements of Alan France and Mark Anderson, Chris Basile became the sole owner of the firm, renaming it Basile and Associates. Today, Chris continues to honor the firm's legacy and its longstanding reputation for excellence. He is an active member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the Lehigh Valley Chapter of Certified Public Accountants.

The experienced professional staff at Basile and Associates consists of Michelle Caverly and Lori Cerciello. The experienced professionals at Basile and Associates are dedicated to delivering a full range of auditing, tax, accounting, and management advisory services to corporate, individual, governmental, and nonprofit clients. ​Our tax services encompass all aspects of planning and preparation for corporations, individuals, and nonprofits, while our management advisory services include tasks ranging from basic bank account reconciliations to assisting clients in securing financing.

The firm of Basile and Associates, as well as all the principals and professional staff, have been properly licensed to practice in Pennsylvania in accordance with rules and standards established by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Department of State, Bureau of Professional and Occupational Affairs.

Christopher Basile
CPA, Shareholder
Christopher Basile received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting from Ursinus College, located in Collegeville, Pennsylvania. He received the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants Certificate of Educational Achievement, with a focus in Government/Not for Profit Accounting and Auditing (CPA). Mr. Basile had eight years of experience in Public Accounting with a large local firm located in Allentown, Pennsylvania before joining the firm and becoming a shareholder in 1998. He was formerly an Adjunct Professor of Accounting at Moravian College in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. He is a member of the finance committee of the American Red Cross of the Greater Lehigh Valley and treasurer of Eastern Pennsylvania Emergency Medical Services Council. He is also the former president of the Board of Directors of Turning Point of the Lehigh Valley, Inc. and the former chairman of the audit committee of the American Red Cross of the Greater Lehigh Valley.
Michelle Caverly
Professional Staff
Michelle Caverly received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Ursinus College, located in Collegeville, Pennsylvania. Michelle had three years of experience in Public Accounting with a large local firm located in Allentown, Pennsylvania where she received her license as a CPA. She gained an additional 9 years of Corporate Accounting experience working for Rodale Press, Inc. located in Emmaus, Pennsylvania and also a local construction company, located in Allentown, Pennsylvania before joining the staff of France, Anderson, Basile and Co. in 2005. Michelle was a QuickBooks Pro Advisor and has a wide variety of QuickBooks experience.
Lori Cerciello
Professional Staff
Lori Cerciello received a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from Bloomsburg University and her Masters of Business Adminstration (M>B>A>) from Lehigh University. Lori ia an accountant with 22+ years of experience in tax, accounting, audit, project management, and financial and industrial analysis. She previously worked for the firm as a staff accountant from 2008 -2016 and we are thrilled to have her back on staff as of 2024.
